Midlands XC RD2 - Cannock Chase

Cannock Chase was the venue for round 2 of the Midlands xc championship, a fresh course with unused singletrack made for a nice change. Mazie headed out for practice and found the course had a fantastic mix of technical sections, climbing and fast flowing sections, she came back from practice happy and thats always a good sign.

Race time! After Mazie's first rounds excellent result this round was an unknown as to how Mazie would get on, there are some excellent riders in the under 12 class and Mazie never underestimates them. Mazie lined up on front row following gridding based of the previous rounds result, the wistle sounded and as per the first round she powered into the lead and pushed hard on the first lap, she rode a very good race increasing pace when needed and managed it well from start to finish, she pulled a 39 second lead as she crossed the finish line taking in her second overall win of the season.
